Our commitment to the environment started many years ago. We introduced our first borax and zinc oxide-free glues more than 30 years ago.

The reuse of resources is crucial to progressing toward a sustainable society. For this reason, all the pallets used at Almetac are recycled.

In 2000, we began using returnable containers, eliminating plastic waste, and reducing the cost of wood in pallets and CO2 emissions.

We have reduced the specific weight of the plastic of the cubes, with the consequent environmental improvements of our activity.

The ISO 14001 certification guarantees optimal environmental management. Almetac was the first company in the sector to obtain this back in 2000.

Almetac is a leader in the production of casein and starch glues that are sustainable, naturally-sourced, and that have a positive differential impact on the consumption of water in sewage treatment plants.

Since our inception, we have developed adhesives with natural products and faster biodegradability indices in accordance with regulation EC 1272/2008.

In 2019, we established the Almetac Carbon Footprint to analyze and optimize our processes, products and services.

In order to reduce water consumption and the environmental impact of our activity, we recover process water and reincorporate it into the production process.

We have optimised the unit weight of our packaging, making them have the most limited impact on energy consumption on the market and minimising their carbon footprint.
